EYN President Issues Urgent Call to Action to President Tinubu

At the 2025, Ministers Annual Conference, yesterday, the EYN – President Rev. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, PhD, in his speech, issued an urgent call to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take immediate action to address the economic woes facing the nation.

“We call on the government to take necessary actions during this crucial time to lessen the burden of the citizens. The government should engage economic experts within and in Diaspora to proffer solutions as any country that depends on palliatives has no future. We call on his excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu President Federal Republic of Nigeria ensur policies that are formulated are for the good of the masses”.

The President added that be honest in handling the flood disaster funds and ensure proper rehabilitation and reconstruction of  the Alau Dam and put measures in place to ensure safety of inhabitants around the area.

Speaking at the 2025 Minister’s Annual Conference held at the EYN National Headquarters in Kwarhi, he emphasized the need for honesty in handling disaster relief efforts and called for the reconstruction of the Alau Dam to prevent future tragedies. He also stressed the importance of implementing safety measures to protect residents in flood-prone areas.

In his address, the EYN President extended his heartfelt sympathy and prayers to members affected by the disaster, assuring them of the church’s support during this difficult time.

On the development of the church, he spoke about the future of the Sunday School Department, expressing faith that a revival unit would soon be established at the EYN Headquarters. He urged the church to focus on nurturing children’s Sunday school, emphasizing that the future of the church depends on their spiritual growth. He called on members to join him in prayer for this mission.

Addressing his fellow ministers, the EYN President encouraged them to build strong relationships with community leaders, political office holders, and other stakeholders. He emphasized the importance of demonstrating the love of Christ through positive engagement while being mindful of their words and actions.

The President appreciates all ministers for their support during the inauguration service of the Principal Officers retirement service honoring Rev. Joel S. Billi and Rev. Anthony A. Ndamsai, the former President and Vice President of EYN, for their dedicated service to the church.

He reaffirmed the church’s commitment to maintaining its prophetic voice, urging members to let their love be genuine and praying for a peaceful and successful conference.
