The President of the Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria (EYN), Rev. Dr. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Tul Huba, His Royal Majesty Alheri Bulus Nyako, at his royal palace in Huba Chiefdom, Adamawa State.

The visit, which formed part of the EYN leadership’s ongoing engagements with key stakeholders, underscored the importance of strengthening relationships between the Church and traditional institutions in fostering peace and unity across the state and the nation at large.

Upon arrival at the palace, Rev. Dr. Mbaya and members of his entourage were accorded a warm and dignified reception by the royal father, palace officials, and members of the Huba traditional council. The atmosphere was marked by mutual respect, as both parties exchanged pleasantries and reaffirmed their shared commitment to peacebuilding and community development.

In his remarks, the EYN President expressed deep appreciation to His Royal Majesty for his unwavering support to the leadership and mission of the Church. He described the Tul Huba as a distinguished leader whose influence transcends the boundaries of his chiefdom, noting that his role as a father figure has positively impacted not only the Huba Kingdom but the entire Adamawa State.

Rev. Dr. Mbaya commended the royal father for his dedication to promoting peaceful coexistence among diverse religious and ethnic groups within his domain. He emphasized that such leadership is crucial, particularly in a time when communities are faced with various social and security challenges.

“As a Church, we deeply value the role of traditional rulers in shaping society. Your Majesty, your leadership continues to inspire unity and hope among the people. We appreciate your fatherly support and your openness to the work of the Church,” he stated.

In his response, His Royal Majesty Alheri Bulus Nyako expressed gratitude to the EYN President and his entourage for the visit, describing it as timely and meaningful. He acknowledged the busy schedule of the Church leadership and commended them for taking time to honor the traditional institution.

The Tul Huba reaffirmed his respect and appreciation for the EYN Church, noting that the Church has continued to play a significant role in the spiritual and social development of the people. He encouraged the leadership to remain steadfast in their mission of promoting faith, unity, and service to humanity.

The royal father also emphasized the need for continued collaboration between religious and traditional leaders, noting that such partnerships are essential in promoting harmony, mutual understanding, and collective progress.

The visit concluded with prayers offered for the peace and prosperity of Huba Chiefdom, Adamawa State, and Nigeria. Both the EYN leadership and the traditional council reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining a cordial relationship and working together toward the advancement of peace, unity, and development in the region.
