EYN President Rev. Dr. Daniel YC Mbaya, alongside EYN Vice-President Rev. Nuhu M. Abba and EYN Director of Education Rev. Daniel I. Yumuna, attended the Sunday morning service at KTS Chapel on February 9, 2025. The president’s visit was significant, as he welcomed the new KTS provost and faculty members.
During his speech, Rev. Dr. Mbaya shared the church’s vision for unity and reconciliation among its members, emphasizing the importance of serving one Lord. He also called on the President of Nigeria, Mr. Ahmed Bola Tinubu, to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians during this challenging time.
Rev. Dr. Mbaya encouraged the congregation to bless Nigeria, stating that the country’s prosperity is tied to the well-being of its citizens. He advised against hastily selling farm produce and emphasized that all members are sons of Jesus, not of individual leaders.
The president announced the introduction of the new provost and lecturers, marking a new beginning for KTS. He acknowledged the institution’s growth, from Kulp Bible School to KTS, and encouraged the community to maintain its Christian values and academic excellence.
Rev. Dr. Mbaya introduced the new lecturers: Rev. Musa Z. Abdullahi, Rev. Haruna Yaduma, and Rev. Danladi James. The EYN Vice-President shook hands with them on behalf of the president. The new provost, Rev. Prof. Dauda Andrawus Gava, was also presented to the congregation.
The president assured Prof. Gava of the Headquarters’ support in making KTS an outstanding seminary, including providing solar light for the library, classes, and staff houses. He concluded by encouraging all staff and students to follow proper communication channels and avoid bridging structures.
Rev. Dr. Mbaya invited the EYN Vice-President to pray for the new provost and lecturers. The KTS Provost, Prof. Gava, expressed his excitement and commitment to taking KTS to greater heights.
The Lord is good. God is building his church. He is always working.
Indeed your visit is a blessing to all of us students of Kulp Theological Seminary, Kwarhi. We are praying for you our leaders that God will continue to uphold you.
It was a great day.
