Today, Sunday, July 21, 2024, the EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y.C Mbaya, PhD accompanied by some members of the National Standing Committee (NSC), visited DCC Chibok, one of the communities that has been facing severe security challenges in Borno State.
It should be recalled that unknown gunmen stormed Viyang village in Chibok, Chibok Local Government Area on Monday 3, July, 2024, carting away with huge properties belonging to the residents of the village and two girls, Esther and Aishatu Habila Gali, were kidnapped on 20 May, 2024, from LCC Kwada, Hirpaya two girls were kidnapped and released after their father paid huge ransom.
The visit comes as a gesture of solidarity and comfort to the people of Chibok, who have lost properties and loved ones amidst the ongoing security crisis in Nigeria. Rev. Dr. Mbaya aimed to provide hope and reassurance to the affected community, reminding them that God still loves them and is present even in the darkest of times.
During the visit, the EYN President encouraged the people of Chibok to hold onto God, emphasizing that their faith and trust in Him will see them through this difficult period.
The visit demonstrates the EYN’s commitment to supporting its members and communities in times of need, and Rev. Dr. Mbaya’s leadership in providing spiritual guidance and hope in the face of adversity.
