The President of EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, Rev. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, PhD, has commended members of the church for their prayers, sacrifices, and financial contributions towards the establishment of the proposed EYN University.
Speaking during a visit to the university site on Tuesday, Rev. Mbaya expressed gratitude to members who have already embraced and supported the vision, describing their commitment as a demonstration of faith and dedication to the future of the church.
The EYN President inspected the site, including the newly constructed entrance gate, and expressed optimism about the future of the project, noting that the vision is steadily taking shape.
“I sincerely appreciate all members who have keyed into this vision through their prayers, contributions, and encouragement,” he said. “Your support has made it possible for us to reach this stage, and we trust God for greater progress in the days ahead.”
Rev. Mbaya also called on members who are yet to participate in the project to join the effort, emphasizing that the university initiative belongs to the entire EYN family and requires collective commitment for its successful realization.
He encouraged all members to comply with the approved monthly ₦1,000 contribution and the designated Monthly second offering for the project, stressing that every contribution, regardless of size, plays a vital role in advancing the vision.
“Those who have not yet keyed into this vision should do so now. There is no doubt that this project has taken root and is on course to become a reality. By God’s grace, it will be a success and a lasting legacy for future generations,” Rev. Mbaya stated.
The President reiterated that the proposed university is aimed at expanding access to quality higher education grounded in Christian values while contributing to national development through the training of future leaders.
He concluded by thanking members across the denomination for their continued support and prayers, urging them to remain steadfast as the church moves forward with one of its most ambitious developmental projects.
