The National EYN Sunday School Teachers Workshop started yesterday, Wednesday, 1st May 1, and will run until Saturday, May 4th, 2024. The workshop organized by the EYN Directorate of Education was held at the Church National Headquarters in Kwarhi, Mararaba Mubi, Hong LGA Adamawa State. Rev. Daniel I. Yumuna, Director of Education, alongside his Deputy Director Mrs. Mary Buggi, stated to EYN News that the workshop, aims to equip Sunday School Teachers with the fundamental principles of effective teaching and inspire them with the word of God.
In his opening remarks, Rev. Yumuna emphasized the significance of this training, stating, “Our goal is to empower Sunday school teachers with the skills and knowledge necessary to nurture our children in the ways of God. We envision a future where every EYN Sunday school is led by a sound, dedicated teacher, guiding our children to grow in faith and wisdom.”
Rev. Yumuna also expressed his hope that the EYN leadership will consider posting pastors specifically to oversee and care for the Sunday school ministry, ensuring its continued growth and impact.
