The 20th convention of the Kungiyar Bishara Gospel Team, was declared open by the EYN Vice President, Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba. This marks his first convention opening since his election as Vice President.
The convention, which also celebrates the 20th anniversary of the group’s identity change, was tagged ” we are more than conquerers” drawn from Romans 8:37, with Rev. Elijah Ishaku Madani, Asst. Pst. EYN LCC Maiduguri as Guest Preacher, Evang Mrs. Barth Priscilla Saleh, House of Benaiah Global Resource, Jos Plateau State and Pst. Albino Bukar, FCS Training Secretary Mubi, Adamawa State as Guest Teacher. Slated on 9-11, May 2024, the Annual Convention was held at EYN Headquarters Conference Hall, Kwarhi Mararaba Mubi, Hong LGA, Adamawa State, brings together members of the Gospel Team from across the country to celebrate their achievements, share experiences, and chart a new course for the future.
In his opening remarks, Rev. Abba, accompanied by some members of the National Standing Committee, expressed his gratitude to God for the group’s progress and urged members to .
“I count it a rare privilege to be here to address you as we gather for this year’s Annual Convention, remarkably it coide with the 20th anniversary of our dear Gospel Team (Kungiyan Bishara). As conveyed to us, as children of the most high, we must raised our voices together in appreciation to God as we will celebrate. This celebration will be unique to us because not all of us will be opportuned to witnes another one”
He also encouraged participants to hold on to Jesus so that the troubles and persection of this generation will not weary them out.
“The scripture explicitly stressed the position of a believer in Christ Jesus who are living in this complex, wicked and perversed world, yet, are heavenly minded. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:“For your sake we face death all day long we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us”.
The National Chairman of the group Evang. Mamuda Bitus Zira expressed his Satisfaction with the growth of the group thus far, urging them to be more committedi, united and focus in order to replicite and achieve more positive growth.
“Reflecting on the Past two decades we can take pride in the notable achievement of our fellowship. Our Spritual growth has been remarkable with more member discovering their alleg in various Spheres of life. Indeed, the Gospel Team stands as the fastest growing Chuch group within EYN. The evidence of Spiritual fervor is obvious in our ministration, lifting the Spirit of people through bur Songs and evngelism”.
The convention features a packed program, including Presentation of awards, dedication of Gospel Team Bible Study Outline and Evangelism Tracks, Cutting of Anniversary cake, worship sessions, preaching, Bible study teachings, traditional dance, concerts, offering competion, quize and . It provides a platform for members to reconnect, learn from each other, and be inspired to continue their good work.
