On July 19, 2024, the EYN Vice President, Rev. Nuhu Muttah Abba, with the EYN Disaster and Relief Management team, visited the UNHCR refugee camp in Minawa’o, Republic of Cameroon. During the visit, they met with 18,502 EYN members, 15,000 other denominations and about 20,000 Muslims who have been displaced and are currently taking refuge in the camp.
Rev. Abba commended the efforts of the pastors working tirelessly in the camp, providing spiritual guidance and support to the displaced members. He also shared a message of hope and encouragement, reading from the book of Ecclesiastes 3:1-35.
The Vice President charged the leaders to be wise and discerning, and urged the EYN members to shun bad character and instead, focus on being good people. He encouraged them to put their hope and trust in God, even in the midst of challenging circumstances.
