18 August 2025 Students from the Christian Religious Studies (CRS) Department of the Federal College of Education (FCE) Yola embarked on an educational and spiritual excursion to the EYN- Church of the Brethren Headquarters in Kwarhi. The visit was led by the Head of the CRS Department, as well as the Chaplain of Emmanuel Chapel, Rev. Vandi Kasu, accompanied by lecturers Mr. Zik Kwayas and Mr. Mathew Stephen.

The purpose of the visit was to expose students to the EYN Church as a historic peace-centered church, with the hope of strengthening their faith in Christ Jesus. The group also sought to understand how the church continues to thrive despite the challenges posed by insurgency in the region.

Rev. Amb. Timta L. Musa, EYN Administrative Secretary, welcomed the delegation on behalf of the EYN leadership. In his exhortation, Rev. Timta urged the students to remain vigilant in these end times and to live as true ambassadors of Christ in their academic and personal lives. He concluded with fervent prayers for their success in their educational journey. The students were further enriched by a series of presentations:
- Pastor Nuhu B. Ardo delivered a lecture on the history of the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria.
- Mrs. Rhoda Isah highlighted EYN’s role in peace building through its Disaster and Relief Management initiatives.
- Pastor Zakaria Amos spoke on the church’s Peace Program and its impact on promoting societal harmony.

In his remarks, EYN President Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, PhD encouraged the students to pursue academic excellence and to cultivate not only intellectual knowledge but also spiritual depth. He emphasized the importance of becoming agents of transformation in their communities and concluded with powerful prayers for the students to be filled with an excellent spirit.
