Five New EYN Churches Established in Cameroon

The 2025 Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria EYN ZME National Outreach marked a remarkable milestone as the team successfully established five new EYN churches in Cameroon between 5th and 8th November 2025. The event, themed around “Reaching the Unreached with the Gospel of Salvation,” brought renewed hope and light to several communities that had long yearned for the message of Christ.

This year’s outreach took place across four key locations in Cameroon  Gamba, Muve, Hau, and Kila Communities. The participants, drawn from over 70 women across various EYN DCCs, were divided into four mission teams.

  • Group 1, led by Ladi Iliya, ministered at Gamba Community.
  • Group 2, under the leadership of Cecilia Luka, reached out to Muve Community.
  • Group 3, led by Esther Bitrus Hankali, worked in Hau Community.
  • Group 4, headed by Lesy Joseph, carried the message to Kila Community.

Each group engaged in house-to-house evangelism, market square preaching, and farm visits, bringing the Gospel of Salvation directly to people where they lived and worked. The message of Christ was not only spoken but also demonstrated through love, compassion, and generosity.

Adding a creative dimension to the evangelism, a Gospel movie show was organized and led by Evangelist Bernard Phanuel Chama and Mr. John Joel, drawing large crowds and igniting spiritual conversations in the communities.

The results were inspiring five new EYN churches were planted, and 317 individuals gave their lives to Christ. Many testified of inner peace, healing, and transformation after hearing the Good News.

The outreach also embodied the love of Christ through acts of kindness. The ZME team distributed wrappers, shoes, OMO detergent, and other essential items to the residents. These gifts, though small, left a deep impression on the people who expressed joy and gratitude for being remembered and loved.

Speaking after the outreach, Mrs. Martha D. David, EYN ZME Director, commended the dedication and sacrifice of all participants. She expressed profound appreciation to the EYN Director of Mission, Rev. Evang. Musa Daniel Mbaya, and the Evangelism Department for their unwavering support. She also thanked the EYN Leadership for their continuous encouragement and spiritual backing, which have been instrumental to the success of ZME’s mission work.

Mrs. David emphasized that the call to reach the unreached remains central to the Church’s mission, reminding all believers that millions still live without the knowledge of Christ’s saving grace. She urged Christians everywhere to rise and take the Gospel beyond their comfort zones, saying, “The light of Christ must shine in every dark corner of the world until all have heard the message of salvation.”

The success of this year’s national outreach stands as a powerful testimony of how God uses willing vessels to bring salvation to those yet unreached. The establishment of five new EYN churches in Cameroon marks not just an expansion of the Church’s presence, but also a spiritual awakening among the people  a sign that the harvest is indeed plentiful, and the laborers, though few, are making an eternal impact.
