The EYN Gospel Team, also known as Kungiyan Bishara in Hausa, celebrated its 20th anniversary at its recent convention. The event featured a special award ceremony where former Vice President Rev. Anthony A. Ndamsai was honored for his dedication and guidance to the group over the past eight years.
Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba, the current EYN Vice President and immediate successor to Rev. Ndamsai, presented the award and praised Rev. Ndamsai’s wealth of experience. Rev. Abba described Rev. Ndamsai as a “library and a forest of experience” where he will continue to seek counsel.
The award recognizes Rev. Ndamsai’s unwavering support and unflinching guidance to the EYN Gospel Team during his tenure. The award ceremony served as a fitting tribute to Rev. Ndamsai’s contributions.
In addition to Rev. Ndamsai, other awardees included Rev. Lazarus P. Riji, Pioneer Gospel Team Chairman, Mr. Ishaku K. Dali, Former Gospel Team Chairman, Elder Elisha A. Shavah, for his mentorship to the Gospel Team , Rev. Yuguda Z. Mdurvwa, Chairman of the Board of the Gospel Team Foundation and Former Director of Disaster Relief Management, Mr. Lazarus Gambo, Chairman of DCC Ribawa, and Sister Elizabeth Musa from DCC Futu.
