The Christian community in Borno State gathered in solemn reflection on 13th January 2026 to bid farewell to Late Mrs. Dorcas Yakubu Musa, wife of Reverend Yakubu Musa, a respected minister of the Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria (EYN). EYN Vice President, Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba, in his remark drew inspiration from the book of James 4:13–17, reminding the congregation of the inevitability of death and the importance of living a life that glorifies God.

  • “Death is bound to everyone alive,” he said, urging believers to remain steadfast in their faith.
  • He emphasized that the world will one day come to an end, and “death is the end of everyone.”
  • Rev. Abba further encouraged the congregation to draw closer to God in all aspects of life, commending Rev. Yakubu Musa for his unwavering devotion and support to his wife throughout her illness until her passing.

The Chairman of EYN Trustees, Rev. Joshua Wakai, welcomed attendees and offered words of consolation to the bereaved family. He reminded worshipers that death is inevitable for all living beings, urging them to find strength in faith in Christ Jesus.
