EYN Vice President, HQTRs Ministers attend Funeral Service of Late Mrs. Sarah Bitrus Nglamike

On September 25, 2025, the funeral service for Late Mrs. Sarah Bitrus Nglamike was solemnly held at EYN LCC Yuldepate I, located in Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The service was attended by family, friends, ministers, and members of the EYN community, who gathered to honor her life and legacy.

 Words of Comfort and Reflection

The Vice President of EYN, Rev. Nuhu M. Abba, delivered a deeply moving message of comfort, drawing inspiration from Revelation 21:3–5. He encouraged the bereaved family to remain steadfast in their faith during this time of sorrow, reminding them that God’s presence offers solace and strength.

Rev. Abba also urged the entire EYN family to live in readiness for the call to eternal rest, emphasizing that death is inevitable and God’s timing is unknown. He expressed heartfelt appreciation to all ministers and congregants present, acknowledging their support and solidarity.

In his closing prayer, Rev. Abba asked for divine comfort and guidance for the bereaved family and the broader EYN community. He further challenged members to uphold love and fellowship core values of the Christian faith and to manage their resources wisely, especially in light of Nigeria’s current economic challenges.

A Stirring Sermon

Rev. Luka M. Timta, EYN Administrative Secretary, delivered a powerful sermon titled “What Will You Be Remembered For After Death?” His message invited reflection on the legacy each individual leaves behind and the importance of living a life of purpose and impact.

Late Mrs. Sarah Bitrus Nglamike was born on July 14, 1973, in Gwaha, Gwoza LGA, Borno State, to Njidda M. Kunde and Mama Mbasa Prda. She was baptized on May 14, 1983, and married Rev. Bitrus on March 18, 1990. In 2005, she advanced her theological studies at KBC Kwarhi.

Together with her husband, she served in various EYN congregations, including:

  • EYN LCC Kunde, DCC Barawa
  • EYN LCC Bokitawa, DCC Gombi
  • EYN Mai Wandu, DCC Mbororo
  • EYN Muduvu, where she served until her passing

Mrs. Sarah Bitrus Nglamike passed away on September 22, 2025. She is survived by her husband and eight children.
