The 13th Annual National Conference of the Girls’ Brigade Nigeria EYN Fellowship, was held from 1st – 6th September 2025 at the EYN Headquarters, Kwarhi. The event brought together officers and members of the Girls’ Brigade fellowship nationwide in a spirit of unity, faith, and service.

President’s Welcome Address
Welcoming the participants, EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, PhD expressed deep appreciation to all officers and members of the fellowship. He described the Girls’ Brigade as a vital platform for training and nurturing young girls in spiritual, moral, and leadership values.
“If Nigeria must overcome its challenges, we must take the spiritual growth of our children seriously. The Girls’ Brigade is a better platform to train young girls to be relevant, contributing members of their families, churches, and the nation,” Rev. Mbaya emphasized.
He reminded the girls of the popular saying: “When you educate a man, you educate an individual; but when you educate a woman, you educate a nation.” He therefore encouraged the girls to remain respectful, obedient, and attentive to all teachings during the conference, assuring them that out of the fellowship will rise great women leaders who will transform not only EYN but also Nigeria at large.

National Coordinator’s Remarks
In her address, Mrs. Asabe A. Mshelia, the National Coordinator of the Girls’ Brigade Nigeria, expressed gratitude to the EYN leadership and all supporters of the fellowship’s vision.
“Your presence here today is not only an encouragement but also a testimony of the value you place on investing in the lives of these young girls,” she noted.
She encouraged both officers and members to continue upholding the timeless values of the Girls’ Brigade: discipline, respect, service, and dedication to God and humanity.
“Remember, you are not just members of EYN Girls’ Brigade Fellowship but ambassadors of a greater cause. May the activities of this fellowship inspire, strengthen, and empower every girl here to become a woman of excellence, leadership, and faith.”

A Gathering of Hope and Purpose
The 13th Annual National Conference was not only a time of fellowship but also a platform for inspiration and empowerment. It reaffirmed the role of the Girls’ Brigade in raising a generation of women who will stand as pillars of faith, service, and leadership in the church and the nation.
