The atmosphere at the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (EYN) Headquarters, Kwarhi, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, was filled with warmth and gratitude on Monday, August 18, 2025, as the staff and leadership of the church joyfully welcomed Mbege ka Michika, Prof. Bulus Gadiga.

Timta Luka Musa, Administrative Secretary; and Rev. John Wada Zambua, Director of Audit and Compliance.

The royal father, who recently ascended the throne, visited the EYN Headquarters to personally express his appreciation for the love, prayers, and support shown to him by the church leadership and staff during his coronation ceremony.

Speaking during the visit, Mbege ka Michika described EYN as a true home for him, noting that being a member of the church is a source of great pride. He commended the leadership for their unity and kindness, praying that God would continue to strengthen the bond of love within the church.

“EYN is like a home to me, and I am grateful for the support and love you have shown me. I pray that the Lord will continue to unite us and cause the love we share to keep growing,” Prof. Gadiga said.

In his response, the EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, PhD, expressed deep appreciation for the monarch’s visit, describing it as a gesture of humility and fellowship. He assured the royal father that the church will continue to prioritize prayers for him, his family, and all leaders, in keeping with the biblical mandate to intercede for those in authority.

“As you have said that EYN is yours, we also make you part of our priority in prayers. The Bible instructs us to always pray for our leaders, their families, and indeed all people created in God’s image. We will never stop praying,” Rev. Mbaya affirmed.

The President further reminded the gathering of the need to remain steadfast in faith despite distractions and misleading messages in the world today.

“We must pray for faith, because many will come to distract and weaken our walk with Christ. But the Word of God reminds us that He has called us as prophets to watch over His people, even as He watches over us,” the President said.

The visit was marked by joy, prayers, and mutual encouragement, as EYN leadership and staff warmly embraced the monarch as both a spiritual son and a partner in fostering peace, unity, and faith within the community.
