Brethren University Nigeria Approved: CAC Registers EYN University Project in Gombi

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has officially approved Brethren University Nigeria, the proposed university of EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, with its site situated in Gombi.

Announcing the development, the EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, PhD, shared the news during a morning devotion with staff, expressing profound gratitude to God for what he described as a breakthrough moment in the church’s history.

According to him, the approval of Brethren University Nigeria was received last Friday, signaling a major step forward in expanding access to faith-based and quality education in Nigeria.

A Vision Gaining Momentum

Speaking passionately, Rev. Mbaya urged members of the church to key into the vision of Brethren University Nigeria, emphasizing that the project requires collective commitment and urgency.

He highlighted growing support from members, citing a striking example of sacrifice and generosity. A church member, whose name was not disclosed, initially agreed to design the university’s site plan at a reduced cost of ₦11 million but later decided to offer the service completely free.

This act, he noted, reflects the spirit of dedication needed to bring Brethren University Nigeria to reality.

Why Brethren University Nigeria Matters

The approval  is not just an institutional milestone—it represents hope for accessible, value-driven education, especially in underserved regions like Gombi and surrounding communities.

With increasing demand for higher education in Nigeria, faith-based institutions like Brethren University Nigeria are expected to play a critical role in shaping future leaders grounded in moral and academic excellence.

Call to Action: No Time to Waste

Rev. Mbaya stressed the urgency of the moment, calling on members who are yet to support the Brethren University Nigeria project to do so immediately.

He warned that delays could slow down the realization of a vision that has the potential to transform lives, strengthen communities, and expand the educational footprint of EYN nationwide.
