Kwarhi, 21 April, 2024 – In a heartwarming ceremony, three dedicated pastors were ordained as Reverends, marking a significant milestone in their spiritual journeys. The ordination service, held at Kulp Theological Seminary Chapel, was attended by Rev. Riley Edwards-Randonant from Germany, outgoing EYN President, Rev. Joel S. Billi, outgoing EYN Vice President, Rev. Anthony A. Ndamsai, ongoing Admin Secretary/EYN Vice President- elect Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba, Secretary Ministers’ Council Rev. Bukar Lalai, KTS Provost, Rev. Dr. Bayo Tella Mishelia, outgoing Director DRM, Rev. Yuguda Z. Mdurvwa, Director of finance, Bro. Ayuba Balami, many clerics, friends, family, and members of the community.
The three newly ordained pastors are Rev. Isa Yunusa Adziba, Rev. Samaila Ayuba and Rev. James Mutah
Notably, two of the ordinands, Rev. Samaila and Rev. James were given accelerated ordination for their resilience to work in a volatile area, where large EYN members reside without shepherd. This will enable them demonstrate their unwavering commitment to their calling.
In a Sermon Rev. Riley Edwards-Randonat from Basil Mission German Chapter, who said the sermon, interpreted by the EN President Rev. Joel S. Billi, took the topic “the preisthood of all believers” reading from Heb. 7:23-28, I Pet 2:9. After citing several examples with many analogies, he concluded that all christian belong to the royal priesthood not minding the titles, heavy clerical dresses or other outward experience. He added that all a person needs to do is to accept the holy Spirit then he/she will be equip to be part of the Royal Priesthood of believer as quoted in the Bible.
The ordination ceremony featured inspiring messages from church leaders, prayers, and the laying on of hands, symbolizing the transfer of spiritual authority and responsibility. The newly ordained pastors were also presented with certificates, Pastoral Manual including the Holy Bible and Hausa Hymnal, gifts to commemorate their achievement.
The newly ordained pastors will embark on their ministerial journeys, serving in various capacities within the church and community. Their dedication and passion for spreading the message of love and hope will undoubtedly inspire and uplift those around them. Congratulations to Rev.
