Leadership Seminar Equips Kungiyan Bishara Leaders for Effective Ministry

The Kungiyan Bishara (KB) of the Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria (EYN) has held a leadership seminar aimed at strengthening the capacity of its leaders for effective service in a rapidly changing world.
The seminar took place from 3rd to 5th March 2026 at the EYN Headquarters in Kwarhi, Adamawa State.
The theme of the seminar was “Equipping Christian Leaders for Kingdom Impact in a Fast-Changing World.” Subtopics discussed during the program included “Character Over Title: Building Trustworthy Leaders for the Next Generation,” “Up-Skilling,” and “Using Technology to Lead Smart.”
The guest preacher at the seminar was Amb. Timta Luka Musa, the Administrative Secretary of Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria. Teaching sessions were facilitated by Dangana Tumba, Benjamin Simon, and Reuben Danjuma.
According to the KB Secretary, Dangana Tumba, a total of 139 participants attended the seminar. He explained that the participants were drawn from 68 District Church Councils (DCCs), with three representatives from each DCC—the Chairman, Treasurer, and Secretary.
He stated that the purpose of the seminar was to help leaders carry out their responsibilities more effectively, especially by using modern technology to make leadership and administration easier.
Speaking during the seminar, the KB Chairman, Bitrus Mamuda Zira, said the training was organized to educate leaders on how to lead in a godly manner in an increasingly ungodly generation. He also encouraged other church groups and organizations to adopt similar leadership training programs.
One of the participants, Adalci Markus from DCC Jimeta, said the seminar helped her understand that a leader is not a king but a servant. She added that the training also taught them that members of the executive committee must support one another in their duties. For example, she explained that a treasurer should be able to carry out the chairman’s responsibilities in his absence when necessary.
Another participant, Salihu Audu from DCC Garkida, said the seminar reminded him that leadership titles should not be used as instruments of pride. He noted that humility is essential for effective leadership.
He commended the efforts of the National KB Executive Committee for organizing the seminar and for selecting relevant topics that address the challenges faced by Christian leaders today.
