In a heartwarming display of kindness and generosity, the EYN leadership donated 40 bags of 25 kg rice to the EYN Comprehensive Secondary School on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. This charitable act underscores the leadership’s commitment to supporting the school, particularly during these challenging times of high food prices in the country.
EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y. C. Mbaya, PhD, before the donation explained that the National Standing Committee is dedicated to ensuring the school remains conducive for learning despite the economic downturn. In view of that, he revealed that the committee reviewed the proposed 100% fee increment, reducing it from ₦140,000 to ₦100,000.
“This decision reflects the church’s sensitivity to the financial burdens faced by parents and its efforts to make education more affordable for younger generations” he added.
Rev. Mbaya emphasized that this administration is committed to regaining and maintaining the school’s excellence, enabling it to compete with modern educational demands in Nigeria.
He prayed for the school to become the best in Adamawa State and the nation.
Mr. Joel Boaz Maina, Principal of EYN CSS, expressed gratitude to the leadership for their kind gesture. He assured that the school management would utilize the donated resources judiciously while pledging the commitment of the school Management to ensure the school reaches the world standard.
May God continue to give you wisdom increase EYN at large sir
