
August 28, 2024 – The Nehemiah Development Initiative, a reputable non-governmental organization based in Jimeta, presented over 1000 palm oil seeds to the EYN Headquarters. The donation was accompanied by a comprehensive demonstration on seed nurturing and transplantation techniques, led by Amba. Charles Tiuda.
The delegation, comprising Amb.Charles Tiuda and Dumandina Austine with the DCC Secretary Jimeta, highlighted the initiative objective, empowering Nigerian youth through sustainable agriculture. They underscored the significance of cultivating high-value crops, such as papaya, palm oil, banana, and apple, to alleviate poverty and reduce reliance on imported processed fruits.
Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, PhD, President of EYN, expressed profound gratitude to the Nehemiah Development Initiative for selecting the EYN Headquarters as a key beneficiary. He assured the delegation of the church’s commitment to diligently nurture the seeds, with the expectation of yielding tangible benefits in the forthcoming years. President Mbaya emphasized the church’s appreciation for the NGO’s efforts and pledged to ensure the project’s success.
