Obedience to Prosper: EYN Sets the Tone for 2026

Obedience to prosper, the official theme of EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria for 2025, took center stage as the EYN DCC Kala’a Convention held from March 19–20, 2025, delivering powerful teachings centered on faithful living and divine prosperity.

The convention opened with a life-impacting sermon by Rev. Bitrus Dali, who emphasized that prosperity is a natural outcome of obedience to God’s Word rather than a distant prayer request.

“When you walk in obedience to God, prosperity is no longer a prayer point—it becomes your lifestyle.”
“Obedience is the master key; when you obey God fully, prosperity follows you naturally.”
“You don’t chase prosperity—through obedience to God’s Word, prosperity chases you.”

He further stressed that obedience is a spiritual principle that guarantees results:

“Every act of obedience is a seed, and prosperity is the harvest that never fails.”
“If you want to prosper in all you do, make obedience to God your daily covenant.”
“God’s promises are sure, but they respond only to one condition—obedience.”

Day Two: Worship, Balance, and Purposeful Living

The second day of the convention expanded on the theme, offering practical teachings that align with the church’s vision for a prosperous and disciplined Christian life.

Rev. Andrawus Yakubu, DCC Secretary highlighted worship as a vital connection to God’s presence and blessings.

“Where worship lives, God’s presence speaks and blessings flow.”

Mr. Elijah Ali taught on managing stress through trust in God and maintaining balance in daily life.

“You overcome stress when you learn to rest in God and not in worry.”

In a forward-looking message, Rev. Gopala Tadzabia encouraged tree planting as a responsibility and a legacy for future generations.

“Plant today with faith, and tomorrow will speak of your obedience.”

A Unified Message: Obedience to Prosper

Across all sessions, the message remained consistent—obedience to prosper is not just a theme but a call to daily living. Participants were reminded that true prosperity is built on obedience, sustained through worship, and expressed through disciplined and purposeful action.

As Rev. Bitrus Dali concluded “Prosperity is not luck; it is the reward of a life of obedience.”
