One dead, Others Missing, As Flood Cart Away With Sharon Bus in Chibok – MBURSA JINATU

A devastating incident has occurred in DCC Chibok, Chibok LGA, Borno State, leaving a trail of destruction and loss of life. A Sharon bus carrying  members of the family of  Late Hon. Dauda Pona, who came to attend his burial in Chibok on Friday,  29, August, 2024, was swept away by floodwaters at Mboa River, approximately half a kilometer away from Chibok.

According to the DCC Secretary Chibok, Rev. Joel Y. Tabji, the bus was conveying the deceased family back  to Maiduguri when the incident occurred.

He confirmed that the bus had nine passengers on board.

Rev. Tabji told EYN News  that at the time he filed the report 3 persons have been recused, with one  Mrs. Lydia daughter of the deceased confirmed dead while the others are still missing.

Late Hon. Dauda Pona when he was alive was a member of EYN Church, Maduganari.
