Mr. Obi, a respected figure in Nigerian politics, urged the newly elected Church leaders to continue building bridges of understanding and unity within the church and beyond.
“Churches, like other religious groups, have continued to play a very vital role in promoting peaceful coexistence in our multi-religious nation. They continue to serve as the moral compass of the nation by spreading the gospel of love to all men and pricking our conscience, as leaders, to always do what is right. I encourage the newly elected church leaders to continue to lead the church in the fear of God while praying earnestly for our nation in distress” He added.
