Rev. Sunday M. Nshem Honored in a Glorious Retirement Thanksgiving Service

March 30, 2025, was a day of joy and gratitude as family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate Reverend Sunday M. Nshem in a grand Thanksgiving service, marking his 35 years of dedicated service in God’s vineyard.

The heartfelt send-off, held at EYN LCC Limingo, Jos, was filled with praise, worship, and testimonies of God’s faithfulness in the life of the celebrant. It was a moment of deep reflection and appreciation, as loved ones expressed their joy for the guidance and protection God has granted him throughout his pastoral journey.

The guest preacher, Rev. Barka Deli, EYN’s Deputy Director of Disaster Relief, delivered a powerful sermon, emphasizing the importance of gratitude in every believer’s journey. He urged the congregation to cultivate a thankful heart, reminding them that God loves a cheerful giver. He also encouraged Rev. Nshem to continue his good works, assuring him that his labor in the Lord will never be in vain.

In an outpouring of goodwill, the church, family members, and friends showered heartfelt tributes, expressing gratitude to God for leading Rev. Nshem this far. They prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him in his new phase of life.

A major highlight of the event was the presentation of Rev. Nshem’s book, titled Take God at His Word, which emphasizes the importance of putting God first in all things. The celebrant passionately shared how God’s grace enabled him to write the book, encouraging believers to trust God completely.

With deep appreciation, Rev. Nshem glorified God for His countless blessings over the years and reassured everyone that his commitment to serving God remains unwavering, even in retirement.
