Late Rev. Solomon Pogu Who was born 11 December, 1969 and Died 24 July, 2025 was laid to rest on July 29, 2025, at Kilamada Askira Uba LGA, Borno State. The funeral service took place at EYN LCC Kilamada and was graced by the EYN Leadership.
The EYN President, Rev. Daniel Y.C. Mbaya, PhD, commended the life of the deceased for his contribution to the church as a member of the advisory board. He asserted that death could happen at any time, and one should keep it at heart.

President Mbaya, delivered powerful comforting words to the family of the deceased, urging them to hold unto God in this difficult moment. To the children, he called on them to be closer to their mother in everything they do. He challenged the congregation to love one another as they would love a corpse and encouraged them to always pray for one another and come closer to God.
Rev. Bitrus Y. Duwara, Director of EYN Disaster and Relief Management, delivered a sermon inspired by I Thessalonians 4:13-14 and Romans 12:17-21.

Brief Biography of Late Rev. Solomon Pogu:
Rev. Solomon Pogu was born to the family of Pogu Barka on December 11, 1969, at Shawa. He was the fourth born of eight children to his mother. He started his early education from 1981-1987 at Kilakaisa in Damboa LGA. He got married at the age of 23 to Miss Rejoice Modu on April 18, 1992, at Shawa, Damboa LGA, Borno State. He was blessed with 10 children, one of whom has passed away, and nine are alive.

His educational background includes primary school from 1981-1987 at Kilakaisa Damboa, TEE in April 1995, Lasa Bible School from 2003-2004, and Modu Bible School from 2006-2007. His working experience includes serving as LCB Lagunasara Leader in 2005, EYN LCC Kuma DCC Hildi in 2008, EYN LCC Kwadazale in 2013, Can Chairman Kwakka zone in Michika LGA in 2017, EYN LCC Malam Jakwa in 2017, Vice Chairman DCC Kwajafa from 2017-2018, Chairman DCC Kwajafa from 2019-2022, and EYN LCC Yimir Ali in 2022. He was also a member of the EYN Advisory Board in 2023 and Sub Zone Askira UBA LGA Chairman TEE supervisor till date.
