The EYN TEE Theological Education by Extension  successfully organized a one-day workshop for supervisors drawn from various EYN District Church Councils (DCCs).

The workshop, held from May Thursday, 27– Friday, 28, which brought together instructors, supervisors, and staff members who play a vital role in the spiritual and academic development of students enrolled in the TEE programme.

While welcoming the EYN leadership and participants, Mrs. Rosa Andrew, Principal of the College, expressed deep appreciation to the EYN leadership for their continuous support toward the growth and development of the department. She also extended gratitude to directors and stakeholders for their guidance, encouragement, and valuable advice over the years.

Mrs. Rosa explained that despite the current economic hardship in the country, supervisors from different DCCs were still able to attend the workshop, demonstrating their commitment to the advancement of theological education within the church.

According to her, the workshop was organized to strengthen the relationship between the school and the supervisors, whom she described as very important to the growth of the institution because they serve as instructors and a bridge between the students and the school.

She revealed that 43 supervisors and 12 staff members attended the workshop, describing the turnout as highly encouraging and a major achievement for the department.

During a visit by the EYN leadership, the EYN Vice President, Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba, encouraged the instructors and supervisors to remain diligent, committed, and serious in carrying out their responsibilities.

He reminded them that the responsibility of teaching biblical knowledge is sacred and should be handled with wisdom, discipline, and the fear of God.

Rev. Nuhu Mutah Abba also noted that many of the students under the TEE programme come from different professional backgrounds and levels of authority in society, yet they enroll in the programme in search of God’s Word and spiritual understanding.

Reading from Proverbs 1:1–7, he charged the participants not only to seek knowledge but also wisdom, emphasizing that true wisdom is found in the Word of God. He encouraged them to teach carefully and faithfully so they can instruct without fear of making mistakes.

The workshop concluded with greetings and interactions between the leadership and participants, marking another important step toward strengthening theological education within EYN.
