Women Fellowship DCC Garkida Conference 2025: Powerful Lessons on Dangers of Greediness

The Women Fellowship DCC Garkida Conference recorded a huge success as women gathered in unity, praise, and spiritual renewal at EYN 1 Garkida in Garkida, Adamawa State.

The three-day conference, organized under EYN – Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, held from January 25 to 27, 2025, bringing together women from all 12 Local Church Councils (LCCs) within the District Church Council (DCC).

The event focused on the theme: “Dangers of Greediness.”

Spiritual Charge: Live as Examples

In his welcome address, DCC Secretary Rev. Bitrus Bwala urged women to live exemplary lives not only in church but also in their homes and communities.

The Host Pastor, Rev. Dr. Daniel Tumba, emphasized unity and love, reminding participants that:

“The church belongs to God; therefore, we must relate freely with one another in love and unity, just as our name ‘Brethren’ implies.”

Teachings on Greed and Christian Living

Delivering the keynote message, Rev. Dr. Daniel Tumba taught extensively on the dangers of greediness in a Christian’s life, citing biblical examples of individuals whose greed hindered their spiritual progress.

He stressed that:

  • Greed can block divine blessings
  • Contentment brings peace
  • Christians should rejoice in others’ success

Another session led by Rev. Labam focused on Christian Homes, where he encouraged parents to build loving, caring, and truthful families.
